Today I found an interesting video that I want to share with you and it talks about… PRICING.
A real quick and easy way to put a price on the things you sell. Whether you sell one piece at a time like home furniture or if you sell multiples at a craft show.
In this video, he talked about valuing the knowledge of the artist that has been built up over time which is easy to dismiss. It’s simple and yet flexible to go with the market.
Here is a great short to the point video on pricing your products based on a daily rate by David Picciutu.
It’s a simple solution if you have large items that you make or you can batch make items but I suggest that you also test your pricing.
There are many factors that come into play when pricing your items, so knowing your product is crucial.
You need to know how much it costs to make your item, how much time you spend making it, and how much it costs to ship. These are just a few things to keep in mind when filling out the price section of your listing.
If you also want to consider your taxes, wholesale and retail price.
You can use our free automated pricing sheet which will help you get your hourly rate, which you can easily use to calculate a day rate if you use a day rate method.
