Do you want to have a good foundation for your handmade business? Or do you want to tune up your business to get more sales?
The biggest problem founders and small business owners have is that they’re experts in their field and novices in what it really takes to effectively run a business. That’s what usually trips them up, sooner or later.
Don’t let that happen to you. Admit that you don’t know what you don’t know about your handmade business. You are in charge of your own destiny now! If there are problems in the business it is up to you to sort it out.
Firstly, you must always remember why you decided to start in business yourself. That way, when you are at the end of your tenth 15 hour day in a row, you will need to remember what your primary motivation was.
Also, during your research stage, you must check out your competition to see if and where there is a gap in the market. It may be a customer service issue, a cost issue or any issue that you feel is lacking in your field.
